Elisha & La’kee chose The Wimbish House as the location of their Atlanta engagement photos. When I first met these two, outside of the fact they make a gorgeous couple, I could tell right away just how much they love each other. Not only that, but they like each other as well. When your relationship has those two characteristics, the chemistry will be undeniable. Needless to say, photographing Elisha & La’kee was a piece of cake!

How They Met

Elisha and La’kee met in a travel group on Facebook. La’kee thought Elisha was so beautiful and wanted to know who she was. He sent her an inbox. They flirted for a while. Neither was looking to date seriously at that time. However, when they met in person for the first it was like they knew each other forever. They were just being themselves, and letting they’re guard down and something beautiful happened. The time they spent with each other grew until they were inseparable. Which brings us to their engagement.

The Proposal

La’kee and Elisha always talked about marrying each other. Wondering if the other felt the same way and talking about moral issues with one another. Elisha thought it was always just talk and that maybe marriage would come later. No pressure. So on Elisha’s birthday, they went to dinner and came home. The plan was to go out to a club a little later. So their good mutual friend Tiffany met them at their house so they could go to the club together. As they were going out of the house and walking down the stairs La’kee asked Elisha did she love him. She said, “Yes”. He asked, “How much”? She says “ Beyond the moon to infinity”. Then he jumps down the remainder of the steps and gets on one knee asked her to Marry Him. She said Yeeeeeessssss! All while their friend was recording the proposal!
