The day you have been dreaming about is almost here. You have worked so hard making sure everything is a true representation of you, your fiance, and your love. I know you want to make sure you enjoy every moment & make the best of this once-in-a-lifetime experience. Need a little help doing just that?

Choosing reliable Wedding Professionals will help relieve stress significantly and help you to fully enjoy your day. You’ve interviewed them, reviewed their work, planned and planned…now TRUST them to make sure your day is everything you’ve planned it to be! Pass the baton to them and you sit back and watch the magic happen! Speaking from a Photographer’s perspective, I want nothing more than to give my Brides & Grooms images that they will be proud to share and pass down to future generations. When Wedding Day comes, trust my eye, experience, instinct & vision to provide your new family with gorgeous family heirlooms!
Instagram, Facebook, Pinterest, and Bridal magazines all have their place but if you are using them to base your expectations on what your day should be, what your Groom should do, and how your Bridal Party should act, you may be in for a disappointment. If you stuck to what YOU love and what makes you happy when you made decisions for your wedding, then I’m sure you will have the best wedding ever. Trends come and go and they are definitely fun but if you can’t enjoy your wedding because you are worried that it’s not instagram worthy, it’s time for a little self chat.
Life isn’t perfect. Things happen. Don’t allow minor nuances to ruin your mood for the day. I understand you have prayed and planned for this day but sometimes, unexpected things just happen. One way to help you stress less is to create a Wedding Day Survival Kit. Include stain remover, safety & hairpins, needle and thread, mints (Photographer Rant: no gum please and thank you LOL ), and whatever else you think you may need to bring just in case.
Bonus Tip: Have your Bridesmaids be your buffer to keep you blissfully ignorant of any mishaps that may happen around you.
All this fanfare is to celebrate the love you have found in each other! Keep this in the forefront of your mind as you go about your day. Take a moment to reflect on the journey you all have been on that has led you to that very moment. Pray or meditate on your incredible future together. You found your life partner, now relish in it!!
I know it may be hard but try to get at least 8 hours of sleep the week of your Wedding. One good night’s rest isn’t going to cut it the day before your wedding. Remember how tired and grumpy you feel when you don’t get enough rest? You don’t want that for your big day! Can’t wind down enough? Try a nice warm bath, add some lavender essential oils, skip the caffeine that week and put down your phone at least an hour before bedtime.
Bonus Tip: I love to listen to the Native American Flute Pandora Station when I need to relax! Makes me immediately feel like I’m at the Spa!
My hope is that your Wedding Day is everything you want it to be and more. If you take all the joy and love of this time in your life and take heed to the tips listed above, I have no doubt you will be one beautiful, HAPPY Bride!
